From May 27 to 30, a delegation led by President Peng Linjun, along with Dean Wei Chunlei of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Wei Qingwen, Director of the Employment Office of the School-Enterprise Cooperation Department, conducted a special enterprise inspection and research tour in Jiaxing (Zhejiang Province) and Suzhou (Jiangsu Province) to precisely align with the development needs of the intelligent manufacturing industry, broaden high-quality channels for student internships, practical training, and employment, and deepen the reform of industry-education integration and collaborative talent cultivation in the field of artificial intelligence. The delegation also attended the 2026 AI Talent Cultivation & Integration · AI+ Industry-Education Integration and Talent Training Conference held in Suzhou. The visit aimed to comprehensively advance school-enterprise deep cooperation, the construction of practical training centers, and the implementation of AI innovation talent cultivation initiatives.

The inspection team conducted on-site visits to two leading smart manufacturing enterprises in their respective sectors: Amphenol JET Interconnect Technology Co., Ltd. and Penn Precision Components (China) Co., Ltd. Amphenol JET is a high-tech enterprise and a "Specialized and Sophisticated" enterprise, primarily engaged in the R&D and manufacturing of precision electronic connectors and automation equipment. Penn Precision, a core subsidiary under a renowned multinational corporation, specializes in the R&D and production of precision fasteners and industrial components, holding significant industry influence. The delegation toured the companies' smart production workshops and core R&D centers, conducted in-depth research on their production processes, job requirements, employment standards, and talent development systems, and closely observed the entire intelligent and automated production process, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the enterprises' current development status and future talent needs.

During in-depth discussions, both sides focused on core cooperation topics including student internship arrangements for the next semester, customized talent cultivation (order-based talent training), joint program development, mutual faculty appointments, and targeted graduate employment. The enterprises highly recognized the quality of our school's smart manufacturing programs, the effectiveness of talent cultivation, and the comprehensive competence of our students, expressing a strong willingness for deep cooperation. Preliminary consensus was reached on details such as internship position allocation, collaborative school-enterprise management, student safety assurances, and internship benefits. This inspection visit has laid a solid foundation for establishing a normalized school-enterprise cooperation platform and building a high-quality talent cultivation base at our university.

On May 29, the delegation was invited to participate in the 2026 AI+ Industry-Education Integration and Talent Training Conference hosted by the Suzhou Enterprise Service Center. During the event, the delegation visited high-quality enterprises such as Suzhou Guoshun Technology and Topstar, observing their AI intelligent products, smart manufacturing equipment, and core R&D achievements. They gained first-hand insights into the practical application of AI and smart manufacturing technologies in industrial production scenarios and gained a deeper understanding of cutting-edge industry technologies and development trends.

At a special seminar with Guoshun Technology, our college engaged in face-to-face exchanges with participating institutions and high-quality enterprise representatives, focusing on targeted collaboration in customized AI talent cultivation, specialized program co-construction, and the implementation of industry-education integration projects. Subsequently, the delegation visited AU Optronics for a study session, touring the company's smart manufacturing exhibition hall and smart factory intelligent control center, immersing themselves in the operational management model of a modern smart factory. During the conference, industry experts from companies including Dedicated Intelligence (Dazhihui), Guoshun Technology, and Fangshitong Technology delivered thematic presentations. They provided in-depth interpretations on AI-empowered industry-education integration innovation, industrial applications of AI technology, and new approaches to digital twin-based industry-education integration, offering brand new perspectives for vocational education talent training reform and collaborative school-enterprise innovation. During the event, our university successfully signed a strategic cooperation agreement with an enterprise, serving as an exemplary model for participating institutions in school-enterprise collaboration. The delegation systematically learned about Suzhou's advanced models for AI industry-education integration and mature cooperation mechanisms.

This inspection and exchange activity in Suzhou represents a key initiative by our university to expand high-quality school-enterprise cooperation resources and upgrade our AI industry-education integration talent cultivation system. Through on-site visits and exchanges, the college successfully finalized cooperation arrangements for the next semester's student internship programs, effectively broadened the development perspective for academic programs related to smart manufacturing and artificial intelligence, and further clarified the optimal paths for talent cultivation aligned with industry development.

Moving forward, building on the outcomes of this inspection tour, our college will continue to deepen the industry-education integration and collaborative school-enterprise talent cultivation model. We will accelerate the implementation of internship programs with partner enterprises and iteratively optimize the talent cultivation plan for our smart manufacturing programs. Simultaneously, we will proactively benchmark against the latest trends in artificial intelligence and digital smart manufacturing industries, draw on advanced practices and cooperation experiences, and actively plan for the development of new specialized programs in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and digital twins. We will promote the precise alignment of our curriculum system and teaching content with industry standards, production processes, and job requirements, striving to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents that meet the needs of high-end smart manufacturing industries. These efforts will continuously support the high-quality development of our university's education and teaching mission and contribute to regional industrial transformation and upgrading.
